In 1985, a fire destroyed Edna's Edibles. Mrs. Garrett and the girls took action by
re-building and transforming Edna's Edibles into a novelty store. It was was a kitchy 1980's soda fountain hangout, the many
items they sold was from ice Cream, to records, t-shirts, blow-up palm trees, greeting cards and crazy gadgets. It was a great
stop for the students at Langley, and the girls were all partners. Andy and George followed the attractive and young carpender
which helped to rebuild. The following year, Mrs. Garrett re-married an old flame and left the The Facts of Life to
join the Peace corps. Mrs. Garretts' 'chatterbox' sister Beverly Ann, was then instituted as the new housemother and stepmom
to Andy.
