It was Headmaster Mr. Parker's budget toward Mrs. Garrett that led to big change in
1983. Mrs. Garrett was distressed, by the lack of salary she was given, which was took granted for quite sometime, Edna
calmed her frustration by coming to help by her beloved son Raymond, an accountant who led her by offering to buy a run-down
store formely named "Pete's Deli" in the nearby town of Peekskill, New York, which led to revamping it into a gourmet
food shop. They all decided the best name would be Edna's Edibles. Blair and Jo who attened Lagley College with
Tootie and Natalie who were still at Eastland moved in. The girls, were pals all the way through, Mrs. Garrett would attract
Eastland visitors, residents and grandparents by her homemade cooking.
